Sikh Feudatory/ Chieftaincie, Jagadhari, INO Shah Alam II (AH 1174-1221, 1759-1806 AD), Silver Rupee, 11.05 Gms 19.36 mm, Jagadhari Mint Pseudo mint name Najibabad, AH 1221, RY 47, these issues are said to have been minted in Jagadhri (Haryana), called as ‘Old Jagadree’ rupee, struck by Rani Sookum, whose identity has so far has not been identified. Jagadhri owes its importance to the Sikh Chief Bhai Rai Singh of Buriya. The town had been entirely destroyed by Nadir Shah (1736-1747), but was rebuilt by Bhai Rai Singh in 1783, it lapsed to the British Government in 1829. Ref.
