Mughal, Farrukhsiyar (AH 1124–1131, 1713–1719 AD), Silver Rupee, 11.44 gms, 23.36 mm, Bagarkota Torgal Bagalkot Mint, RY 2, Mintname seems to be ‘Bagarkota Torgal’ – which means ‘Bagarkota’ ( = Bagalkot) located in the administrative division of Torgal, Bagarkota would be written as ﺒﺎﻜﺮﻜﻮﺘﮧ so yes, the first letter could be off-flan here. Bagalkot is not very far from from Torgal to the East, so it could well have been a part of the same division. In Farukhsiyar’s Ry.2, there was no Maratha presence here – so the coin is not a Maratha issue. “Bahr-o-bar” Couplet, Obverse on the coin reads. sikka zad az fazl e haq bar sim o zar badshahe bahre o bar, Farrukhsiyar,
