The King name “Chandra” is written on the obverse under the kings left arm in brahmi script. “Deva Sri ( Maharajadhiraja sri ) chandra gupta” legend is starting at 2’O Clock going upto 9’O clock is partly visible on this specimen. The Reverse of the coin shows the Goddess Laxmi with a halo around the head is sitting cross-legged on seven petal lotus flower with both her hands above her knees, holding lotus in one hand and a noose in the other, Tamgha in the left field at 10’O Clock of the Goddess & Biruda ( small imperial title used by each gupta king ) “Sri Vikramah” legeng in brahmi. starting at 2’O clock upto 4’O clock.
